Pastor Hap & Kathy Itson
My wife Kathy and I have been married for 39 years. We are both grandchildren of pastors. Kathy’s grandfather was a Methodist minister for over 70 years and my Grandmother was a Foursquare Gospel minister who planted several churches in the Southern California area. We are originally from Southern California and moved to the Midwest in 1997 so I could attend seminary. I began my seminary studies the same year as my pulpit ministry, attending four years as a student pastor. I graduated from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2001 receiving a Masters of Divinity degree and was ordained as an elder in 2004. Before that my undergraduate studies stretched over 20 years due to a delay because of vision issues. I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a BA in Fine Art. My studies included a significant amount of time in music as well.
We have three children all living in Wisconsin. Our oldest son is an IT professional, married and lives in Random Lake, our daughter is an ordained United Methodist Deacon and our youngest son works as a siding installer and sings in several Madison area choirs including the Madison opera chorus. We have lived in Wisconsin since 2009. Kathy’s father’s is originally from northern Wisconsin where we will someday retire in his childhood home.
We enjoy being here and look forward to knowing you better.
